Italian signs a two-year deal after leaving UAE Team ADQ as Canyon completes its roster
Chiara Consonni has joined Canyon-SRAM on a two-year contract to complete the team’s roster for 2025.
The Italian joins fellow new recruit Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig and Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift winner Kasia Niewiadoma on the squad for next season.
We first broke the news about Uttrup Ludwig’s and Consonni's arrivals in August and now the news is finally official with the Olympic Madison champion excited to join the German squad.

"Canyon-SRAM Racing has been my dream team since I was young," Consonni said in a statement released by her future team.
"To be part of this team in the next years will be a special feeling. Even if I have a lot to learn, I hope to contribute to the team with my experience in the sprint and lead out. Some weeks ago, I took part in my first Olympics, and I came back home with the best result possible. After this experience, I'm more confident in myself. This victory motivates me to never give up and to give one hundred per cent in every situation,” she added.
The 25-year-old won Dwars door Vlaanderen in 2022, along with a stage in the Giro Donne and a rainbow jersey in the team pursuit on the track. Her first season in UAE colours saw her win a stage and the overall at the Tour of Chongming Island, and a second stage of the Giro Donne. This year she picked up several more wins, including another Giro stage.
“My objectives for the upcoming seasons are to improve as a person and as an athlete and to win a Classic race in the North, which are also my favourite races. I think this team aligns with my goals because it's full of people with a lot of experience and motivation,” she said.
"I'm an extrovert and solar person with a lot of energy, and I hope to become part of the group and share my good vibes with the riders and staff. As one of the best teams in the world, I'm sure Canyon-SRAM Racing has the environment and resources I need to achieve my goals," Consonni said.
Canyon-SRAM’s roster is now complete for the start of the 2025 season with eighteen riders: Wilma Aintila, Zoe Bäckstedt, Ricarda Bauernfeind, Neve Bradbury, Chiara Consonni, Tiffany Cromwell, Justyna Czapla, Chloé Dygert, Rosa Klöser, Nastya Kolesava, Maria Martins, Antonia Niedermaier, Kasia Niewiadoma, Soraya Paladin, Agnieszka Skalniak-Sójka, Alice Towers, Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig and Maike van der Duin.
