Q36.5 Pro Cycling 'make a big effort to get Tom Pidcock'
Source within the team confirms that the squad are all-in for the British star as Ineos departure moves closer
Tom Pidcock’s transfer from Ineos Grenadiers is moving closer to completion by the day and we’ve learned that Q36.5 Pro Cycling have made a significant push to attract the WorldTour star after missing out on Marc Hirschi and Julian Alaphilippe during the summer.
Pidcock has a contract with Ineos Grenadiers until the end of 2027 but recent incidents suggest that a split will take place in the coming days.
We spoke to a source at Q36.5 Pro Cycling. They wished to keep their name out of the press but confirmed that Doug Ryder’s team were aiming to bring Pidcock to the team in a bid to improve the team’s slim chances of receiving wildcard invitations to major races in 2025.
“I don’t know all the ins and outs but I know that they’ve made a big effort to get Tom over the line. There are just a few people in the discussions, so we have to wait and see. He’s an interesting rider, still young, and has many skills. This could be the lifejacket that the team needs for it to find safety and wildcards in the WorldTour races,” the source told us.
