Alexander Kristoff confirms 2025 is likely his final season before retirement π³π΄
'I need to get three more wins, then I get to 100 pro wins' he tells us
Alexander Kristoff has confirmed that 2025 will likely be his last season in the pro peloton.
This will bring down the curtain on a career that spanned three decades and included wins in Milan-San Remo, the Tour of Flanders, Gent-Wevelgem, and four stages of the Tour de France.
The 37-year-old signed a three-year contract with Uno-X Mobility at the start of 2023 and told us at the start of Classic Brugge-De Panne that he was unlikely to prolong his career beyond the current campaign.
βItβs a contract year, but Iβm nearly 38, so Iβm thinking about ending it so I donβt feel like I have a knife or a rope around my neck. Iβm pretty relaxed. I think itβs the final year. Iβve started to feel like I want to do other things than cycling,β the Norwegian told us this morning.
