Bahrain-Victorious have enjoyed a successful start to the season courtesy of Santiago Buitrago, who won two stages and the overall at the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana.
The team also picked up third overall, and the team classification at the same race, and head into an important block of racing inside the top ten of the UCI’s rankings.
Off the bike, the management are continuing their chase for a second sponsor as they look to beef up the team’s budget and draw parity with the biggest squads in the world.
The average men’s WorldTour team budget in 2025 is €32 million, up four million Euros from the previous season, and according to Bahrain Victorious team boss Milan Eržen, his squad are operating in the lower echelons when it comes to current funding.
“We are looking around with an agency that’s working for us. We’ve had some conversations. So far, nothing special has happened, but we’re working on it,” he told us when asked about the current search for a second sponsor.
