Ben Tulett: I just want to make the most of every opportunity šŸ

Each year holds significance for a professional rider, but 2025 holds even greater importance for Ben Tulett than previous years.

The 23-year-old endured a stop-start campaign in 2024, with illness and injuries undermining his form at the worst possible moments. In April, sickness forced him out of Itzulia Basque Country and effectively ended his hopes for the Ardennes, while a crash on stage 2 of the Vuelta a Burgos derailed his ambitions of starting the Vuelta a EspaƱa. What should have been a successful debut season in Visma colours turned into a year of missed opportunities.

This season has undoubtedly witnessed Tulett making significant strides in the right direction. In his first outing of 2025, he finished ninth in the ClƔsica JaƩn. He then bolstered that performance with a series of respectable rides in the Volta ao Algarve, where his teammate Jonas Vingegaard secured both the final stage and the overall victory.

ā€œFirst off, I’m really happy to be back racing with the team. To have the first race days in the legs already. I felt really good in JaĆ©n, and then, so far here, I’ve felt pretty good. Yesterday, I made a bit of a tactical error that cost me. So I was a bit disappointed with that, but today’s a new day,ā€ he said, alluding to his ride on stage 2 when UAE Team Emirates exposed Visma and briefly lost control of the race.
