Ben Wiggins: 'I want to feel like I belong' when racing against Evenepoel and Pidcock
British rider heads to the Tour of Britain to gain experience and form ahead of the World Championships
After an injury-hit winter, Ben Wiggins (Hagens Berman Jayco) aims to finish the season with a flourish as he races against the likes of Remco Evenepoel and Tom Pidcock at the Tour of Britain next week.
Wiggins will form part of a strong Hagens Berman Jayco team at the six-stage race, which runs from September 3-9, and hopes to use the week to gain experience and build his form for the latter part of the campaign.
“I’m looking forward to it because it’s probably the biggest race I’ve ridden so far and it’s especially cool with it being a home race,” Wiggins told us a few days from the race start.
