Bob Jungels: Ineos Grenadiers is my last shot at some proper victories 🇬🇧 🇱🇺
Former Monument winner targets wins and road captain role but it's not about replacing Luke Rowe
Hi Subscribers,
I hope you’ve had a great weekend.
I couldn’t go two days without posting a story - it’s just not on! So here’s an interview I did with Bob Jungels at Rouleur Live a couple of days ago. I still need to make a complete list of stories and schedule them out but I will have content on Sean Kelly, Cat Ferguson, Lorenzo Finn, Lizzie Deignan, Luke Rowe, Kasia Niewiadoma, Johan Museeuw, Pfeiffer Georgi and Joe Dombrowski.
The event was great, and it was amazing to catch up with friends in the industry I’d not seen since the closure of the GCN website. I also got to meet lots of new faces and even readers of this Substack!
One reader said I looked younger than the 50-year-old man they imagined me to be, which was the nicest compliment I’ve had all year.
I’ll try and get through all those interviews and stories in the next week or two - along with a few other transfer pieces and exclusives I have in the bag. For now, here’s Bob Jungels.
Have a great week and thanks for your continued support ❤️
Dan (42 and three quarters).
After two years at Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe, 32-year-old Bob Jungels has linked up with Ineos Grenadiers for 2025 and 2026.
The versatile rider has won a Monument, stages in the Giro and Tour, and finished inside the top ten in two Grand Tours, and in a career that has spanned several of the world’s best teams, the rider has brought incredible experience to the British squad. Next year is all about rediscovering that winning feeling and maintaining his role as an elite road captain.
