Confirmed: Alexey Lutsenko signs two-year deal with Israel-Premier Tech
Rider leaves Astana after 12 years with Alexandre Vinokourov's team
Veteran rider Alexey Lutsenko has called time on his Astana career and moved to Israel-Premier tech on a two-year deal. The 31-year-old is the first major recruit to be announced on the Israeli team for 2025.
Lutsenko turned pro with Astana in 2013 and has only raced for the Kazakh in that time. A solid all-rounder, he has a Tour de France stage win in his palmares, along with GC wins in the Tour of Oman (twice), Artic Race of Norway, and another Grand Tour stage win in the Vuelta a España. He also has two top-tens on GC at the Tour de France.
