Could Tom Pidcock sign for Q36.5 and what would the transfer mean for Ineos?
The British rider is once again in the middle of a major transfer story
Hi Subscribers,
I don’t like the idea of writing about a topic or a story just for the sake of it.
Neither SEO, advertising nor traffic stats drive this Substack. Instead, it’s a service for subscribers who want to know more about pro cycling and desire access to interviews, insights and observations.
That’s why I wanted to write about Tom Pidcock this morning.
On Friday, news broke via Daniel Friebe and Ciro Scognamiglio, that the rider was in talks with Q36.5 Pro Cycling ahead of a possible end-of-season transfer.
After a summer of discontent, it looked as though the two-time Olympic champion had settled on staying for another year at Ineos Grenadiers but two Tweets from two very respected journalists quickly shattered that idea.
At this stage, I don’t have a huge amount of new info to add to the situation other than people aren’t talking. But that to me is really telling and in this piece, we’ll try to answer three fundamental questions:
Will the move happen?
What would it mean for Ineos?
Would Q36.5 Pro Cycling be a good fit?
