Egan Bernal, one of the most high-profile riders in this year’s transfer market, is close to signing a four-year contract extension with Ineos Grenadiers. Although we cannot confirm that the deal is signed at this stage, all indications point to it being only a matter of time before Ineos Grenadiers makes an announcement, leaving any team interested in the 29-year-old’s future with only a very narrow window to act. As far as we know, only Ineos are at an advanced stage of finalising a deal with Bernal.
