Back in June, the Australian sprinter was understood to have reached an agreement in principle with Ineos Grenadiers.
Several months on, the rider is still without a contract, and from our sources, it appears that the British team has been slow to move forward with that agreement. We’ve heard rumblings on this for a while, and since Dave Brailsford’s return, sources suggest the team has slowed or paused aspects of their transfer activity.

Part of that is completely understandable. Ineos Grenadiers, aside from a couple of exceptions, have been underperforming in the transfer market over the last three years.
