Italian national champion and Giro d’Italia Women winner Elisa Longo Borghini has signed a three-year deal with UAE Team ADQ.

The 32-year-old has spent the last six years with Lild-Trek and established herself as one of the most consistent and successful riders in the women’s peloton, winning the Tour of Flanders twice and Paris-Roubaix Femmes.

The complete all-rounder has been linked to UAE Team ADQ since the spring, and we broke the unofficial news of her joining the team back in May for the GCN website. It’s understood that Longo Borghini’s long-term coach Paolo Slongo is also making the move from Lidl-Trek to UAE Team ADQ.
