Geraint Thomas would 'love to be involved' in Ineos Grenadiers management
Welshman confirms he's been on management calls that include Jim Ratcliffe

Geraint Thomas has confirmed that he would ‘love to be involved’ in the management of Ineos Grenadiers once he retires from the sport at the end of the season.
The former Tour de France winner will conclude his career at the end of 2025, and his exact future remains uncertain.
However, ahead of stage 3 of the Volta ao Algarve, the Welshman confirmed our earlier reports that he has already participated in management calls with Ineos Grenadiers owner Jim Ratcliffe and the current team management.
“I’d love to stay involved with the sport and with the team specifically, of course, because it obviously feels a part of me. I’ve been here from the start, and I’d love to be involved in some capacity, but that’s to be determined in terms of what sort of role really,” Thomas told us at the start in Vila Real Santo António.
Ineos Grenadiers have struggled to achieve results in recent years. Although Thomas has been their most dependable Grand Tour rider over the past three seasons, the team achieved only 14 wins in 2024.
