📝 Ineos ties with Lotto Kern-Haus 'not just on paper, it’s a real partnership' says boss
Strong start to the season for the German squad, while future roster additions will be discussed later this spring
Although Team Lotto Kern-Haus PSD Bank have not secured a victory this season, team boss Florian Monreal has been impressed with his squad, while the relationship between the continental team and Ineos Grenadiers continues to develop.
During the off-season, we broke the news that Ineos Grenadiers would partner with Monreal’s team, with Peter Øxenberg and Theodor Storm dropping down from the WorldTour for 2025 to the team Conti squad.
“We’ve had a good start in Rhodes and the Netherlands. In Rhodes, we took second on GC with Ben Felix Jochum, who finished in the same time as the winner, and we’re very happy with the start of the season,” Monreal told us ahead of the team’s first race in Belgium on Friday, at the Youngster Coast Challenge.
Jochum’s star is certainly on the rise. The 21-year-old boasts a strong track record and has been on the team for the last two seasons. With his focus shifting towards the road in 2025, Monreal believes that the rider could make the leap and join the WorldTour next season, provided he continues to progress. And according to Monreal, the partnership with Ineos Grenadiers is positively impacting the entire roster.
