Is it too soon for Pauline Ferrand-Prévot to challenge for the Tour de France podium?
We talk to Visma-Lease a Bike coach Jos van Emden about the French star and the team's 2025 roster
One of the marque and most exciting transfers of the season saw Pauline Ferrand-Prévot switch from off-road racing to road, with the French rider agreeing a three-year deal with Visma-Lease a Bike starting in 2025.
The 32-year-old became a road world champion in 2014 before dominating the off-road scene, picking up multiple world titles and an Olympic gold in her home Games in Paris. Her departure from Ineos Grenadiers and return to the team she raced for in 2016 was met with huge fanfare but Visma-Lease Bike coach Jos van Emden isn’t paid to get wrapped up in the hype and believes that it will take time for the team’s new star to acclimatise to the demands of road racing.
