Kurt Asle Arvesen: We'll turn the ship around
The new lead Sports Director at Ineos Grenadiers gives his first interview since joining the team
On Tuesday night Ineos Grenadiers announced a raft of changes within their staff, with Kurt Asle Arvesen among the new appointments as he returned to the team as the lead Sports Director.
The Norwegian spent the last two years of his racing career on the British team in 2010 and 2011 before moving into a coaching and sports director role in 2012. He left the team in 2017 to join Uno-X and returns to a very different British team from the one he left several years ago.
On Wednesday morning we spoke with Arvesen about the challenges facing Ineos Grenadiers, his excitement for the future, Ineos’ potential new race strategy, and how the move came about in the first place.
