Lidl-Trek has yet to announce their Grand Tour plans for 2025, but the American squad are looking further down the line, confirming to us that climbing talent will be atop the team’s shopping list for the 2026 season.
At the team’s December training camp in Denia, Spain, general manager Luca Guercilena confirmed that his WorldTour men’s team would also target the points and young rider classification in all three Grand Tours in 2025 and that the Spring Classics will once again be a major objective for the squad.
“At the moment we’re working on the race calendar. This year there’s a bit of a luxury, and it’s taking more time than normal because in the past, we had maybe one or two leaders. For 2025 we want to share the calendar perfectly around the team goals,” Guercilena told us.
