As we reported back in July, Lizzie Deignan has extended her contract with Lidl-Trek for one more season with official confirmation made at Rouleur Live on Friday.
The British rider was on stage when the news was announced the former road world champion also confirmed that 2025 would be her final year in the Women’s WorldTour before hanging up her wheels and retiring.
Deignan, 35, is one of the most decorated riders in the women’s peloton, having won the inaugural Paris-Roubaix Femmes, the Tour of Flanders, Strade Bianche Donne, and a road world title in Richmond in 2015. Her career spanned three decades and included 43 victories on the road victories.
