Luke Rowe set for DS role at Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale
No official confirmation but this looks like a major coup for the French team as Ineos Grenadiers lose more talent
The news isn’t yet official but we understand that Luke Rowe is set to take up a new sports director role at Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale in 2025.
Speculation surrounding Rowe’s future has been rife for weeks but it initially focused on the 34-year-old hanging up his wheels at the end of the season and stepping into the team car at Ineos Grenadiers.
However, we understand that Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale have talked to the veteran rider and that confirmation of the move could be released in the next few weeks. The rider was not available for comment when contacted on Monday but we have heard from several sources that the move is on the cards.
