Hi Subscribers,

Firstly, a massive welcome to the 100+ of you who have signed up in the last 24 hours. I appreciate your support, and I hope that you enjoy my Substack.

It’s a blend of interviews, race analysis, transfer news and the occasional bit of breaking news, as we reported last night with the emergence of the Hincapie-backed team for 2026.

This next story puts us back on the transfer beat as we’ve learned more about Ineos Grenadiers’ transfer targets for next season.

Thanks again for your support.

While the cycling world waits for news on Ineos Grenadiers’ sponsorship situation, their transfer business continues to gather pace. However, the British team remains well behind the curve when it comes to potential plans for a development team for 2026.

What we can report is that following the news that Salvatore Puccio, Jonathan Castroviejo, and Omar Fraile are all set to retire at the end of the season, Ineos are currently focusing on rewarding a handful of their remaining domestiques with new terms of agreement.

Veteran and former world champion Michał Kwiatkowski is expected to put pen to paper on a new two-year deal, while Brandon Rivera looks set to extend his contract as well. The Colombian performed strongly during the Giro d’Italia until he was forced out due to illness in the second half of the race, and the most recent information indicates that he will be offered either a one or two-year deal.

According to sources, a major strategy meeting took place this week within the Ineos management ranks, but sign-off on the sponsorship with Total remains unresolved at this point. The drawn-out nature of the talks hasn’t completely hindered the team's ability to identify targets for next season.
