British rider joins Team Lotto Kern-Haus PSD Bank-Ineos

Team Lotto Kern-Haus PSD Bank-Ineos have brought their roster up to 15 riders for next year with British rider Joe Cosgrove signing a two-year deal with the U23 team.

Heralding from Formby, just outside Liverpool, the 18-year-old spent this season with Fensham Howes-MAS Design-CAMS under the tutelage of Giles Pidcock and was identified by Ineos Grenadiers' new Ascent talent spotting programme.

The British WorldTour team created the Ascent programme to identify young talent within the sport's junior ranks and then assist specific riders by creating pathways into the U23 ranks or helping their development within the WorldTour ranks.

We caught up with Cosgrove just before his move to the new development project was made public.
