Next rider up: Louis Sutton 'buzzing' after Tour of Britain breakthrough
British rider more than held his own against Evenepoel and Alaphilippe before a crash ended his race
He may have been forced out of the Lloyds Bank Tour of Britain Men due to a crash but Louis Sutton certainly made a name for himself whilst in the race with two consecutive days on the attack, a spell in the virtual lead, and the experience of racing head-to-head against Remco Evenepoel, Julian Alaphilippe, and eventual race winner Stevie Williams.
For Sutton, 22, it was a priceless block of racing and one he was still revelling in when he talked to us on Monday.
“It was a hard race but I’m still buzzing from it,” the youngster said.
