Niamh Fisher-Black aims 'to perform out of my skin' for Vollering at the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift
Kiwi heading to her first Femmes avec Zwift full of motivation and confidence
Niamh Fisher-Black (Team SD Worx-Protime) heads into the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift with no illusions of the challenge she faces as Demi Vollering’s last line of defence in the mountains but the Kiwi is relishing what’s to come on her race debut.
The 23-year-old already has the Giro d’Italia Women, Tour de Suisse, and the Vuelta a España in her legs this season, but the Tour has been a focal point of her year and aiding Vollering’s title defence is a massive task.
“This has been quite a big goal and I’m just excited to be going. There’s a lot of prestige around this event and it’s the pinnacle of women’s cycling at the moment,” Fisher-Black told us before making the trip to Rotterdam for Monday’s Grand Départ.
