Patience paves the way for Larry Warbasse
How a call from Tudor Pro Cycling on the eve of Il Lombardia gave the American another year in the peloton
Hi Subscribers,
We’re kicking off today with an interview we did with Larry Warbasse at Tudor Pro Cycling’s December training camp.
Today is the team’s media day in Spain, and although we’re not there in person we’ll be following several press conferences online.
At the same time, I’m working on a longer feature that will probably take another day or two to finish. I will try and publish one more story today, but I’m working a little slower than normal due to a heavy cold. Pray for me. 🤒

When it comes to last-minute contracts and one-year deals, Larry Warbasse is something of a connoisseur.
The American all-rounder has signed only one-season contracts over the last few years, and if anything, that experience has taught Warbasse the art of patience. However, when Tudor Pro Cycling swooped in with an offer for 2025 on the eve of Il Lombardia, the 34-year-old jumped at the chance to sign for Fabian Cancellara’s team.
The opportunity to ride with the Swiss not only gave Warbasse the chance to prolong his career by another twelve months but also provided him with a new lease of life and the chance to work with some of the best riders in the world, including fellow new recruits Julian Alaphilippe and Marc Hirschi.
“For me, it will also be about bringing my experience to the team,” Warbasse told us from the Tudor Pro Cycling training camp.
