Puck Pieterse set for Paris-Roubaix debut and Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift return
Exclusive interview as the Dutch rider lines out her provisional race plans for the road season
Puck Pieterse commences her road campaign this weekend at Omloop Nieuwsblad, with the 22-year-old gearing up to undertake her most extensive Classics campaign to date in 2025.
On Tuesday, the Dutch rider was on recon duty, taking in all of the cobbled sectors of Paris-Roubaix Femmes avec Zwift. Today, the Fenix-Deceuninck talent is checking out the essential points of Dwars Door Vlaanderen, another race on her hectic schedule for the months ahead.
“Today we did the last 90km of Paris-Roubaix, so all the cobbled sectors. For now, Roubaix is on my calendar. I think that the technical aspects of Paris-Roubaix suit me, especially the cornering and positioning, which are both really important. Of course, it’s not a climbing race, so some of the bigger riders will be really good, making it only harder to be in the front,” Pieterse told us on the phone.
“Before Dwars Door Vlaanderen, I also do Strade Bianche, Trofeo Oro in Euro, Binda, and Milan-San Remo, so I’ll have quite a lot of racing in the legs when I come to Flanders and Roubaix. From there, we’ll see. The plan is to continue with these races for now,” she added.
