Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe ready to set the tone for the Classics at Etoile de Bessèges
Lazkano, Tratnik and Van Gils will make their team debuts as Heinrich Haussler lays out the team's ambitions

Hi Subscribers,
This afternoon we caught up with Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe’s sports director, Heinrich Haussler, about the team’s ambitions for Etoile de Bessèges.
The former rider discussed the debuts for three of the team’s new signings and how important the French race is ahead of the Spring Classics.
Don’t forget, we’ll be on the ground at Etoile de Bessèges from tomorrow evening - the race starts Wednesday - and we’ll have rider reactions, news, transfer stories, race analysis and more from the five-day race. The field is really impressive, with 10 WorldTour squads, so expect lots of content over the coming days.
I’ll also be sharing several interview recordings in the WhatsApp group for founding members to enjoy, so if you’d like to sign up for that or upgrade your membership to that status, now’s a great time to do it. If you’re a new subscriber, you can do that during the sign-up process, and if you want to upgrade, simply head to the settings page of your profile or the link below.
Tomorrow is a travel day but I’ll have one story in the morning before my flight.
Thanks
Daniel 🫶
Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe are heading into Etoile de Bessèges - Tour du Gard with a stacked roster that includes three of their biggest transfer signings.
Oier Lazkano, Jan Tratnik and Maxim Van Gils all joined the team this year, and Etoile de Bessèges will be their first outing in Red Bull colours. While the French stage race is an important event in its own right, it’s also a chance for several of the Classics riders on the squad to kick-start their seasons and build towards Opening Weekend and beyond.
