Remco Evenepoel has confirmed that he will race for Soudal Quick-Step in 2025, putting an end to speculation of a possible switch to Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe.

The double Olympic champion spoke at the Belgian team press conference in Zurich on Friday morning ahead of Sunday’s World Championships road race and gave his clearest message yet with regards to his future.

“I am happy that all the speculation can now stop,” the Belgian reportedly said.

“We'll keep working on the big goal of one day winning the Giro and the Tour,” he added.

Evenepoel has been linked with a move away from Soudal Quick-Step for two years. Ineos Grenadiers attempted to lure the rider away in 2022 but failed to break the rider’s contract despite their need for a Grand Tour leader.
