Sarah Gigante is set for an extended period off the bike after undergoing surgery for iliac artery endofibrosis.
The Australian rider took to Instagram to post the news and it is unclear and far too early to suggest when Gigante will be back on the bike. However, the 2025 Australian nationals and the Santos Tour Down Under - a race she won in 2024 - are off her programme as she is set to go through months of rehabilitation.
