In the last couple of days speculation has mounted over the future of Grand Tour rider Thymen Arensman, with reports that the 24-year-old could be part of an exodus from Ineos Grenadiers at the end of the season.

The Dutch rider was initially out of contract at the end of the current campaign, and there was interest from rival teams ahead of 2025.

However, despite that, we understand that the rider has extended his terms on the British squad. It’s not clear at this point how many years have been added to the rider’s contract but two separate sources close to the rider and the team have told us that Arensman will not be leaving at the end of this year.
