Tom Pidcock joins Ineos teammates for the first time since Il Lombardia de-selection

British team hit 30-rider limit but their transfer activity might not be over

Tom Pidcock met up with several of his Ineos Grenadiers teammates for the first time since his controversial deselection for Il Lombardia on Sunday.

The British rider appeared at Manchester United’s game against Chelsea ahead of Ineos Grenadiers’ first winter get-together. 

Last month the rider’s future at Ineos Grenadiers was hanging by a thread after he was bumped from the roster for Il Lombardia due to a management decision.

The rider announced the de-selection on social media and we later confirmed that Pidcock had been handed the news whilst travelling to the team hotel ahead of the Italian race. The situation, coupled with Pidcock’s comments on social media, made it irrevocably clear that the relationship between the rider and the team had reached a breaking point.
