Tom Pidcock's attacking nature continues to pay dividends following transfer
Will the British rider win more races than Ineos Grenadiers in 2025?
Tom Pidcock’s transfer to Q36.5 Pro Cycling will not be defined or measured by his performances at the 2025 AlUla Tour.
Sterner, and more important tests lay ahead this year as the British rider’s campaign builds towards the Spring Classics and a possible start at the Giro d’Italia in May.
However, after a second dominant and winning performance in his first outing as a Q36.5 rider, there can be little doubt that his move from Ineos to the Swiss team is already paying off. It’s now two stage wins from a possible four, and the GC title is just one stage away.
Come Saturday afternoon, we should, in all likelihood, witness Pidcock take the top step on the podium and seal the first overall stage race of his pro career, and it’s not inconceivable that he wins the final stage if echelons or the climbs that little the stage decimate the field and drop the pure sprinters. Such a scenario would put Pidcock 4-up, in terms of wins, against his old team, and all within five days of his racing career at Q36.5.
