Hello Subscribers,

The Tour de France is truly spoiling us this year with yet another exhilarating and memorable day of racing on stage 3.

We saw Biniam Girmay and Richard Carapaz make history for Eritrea and Ecuador, respectively, a change in the yellow jersey, and another plucky underdog team take the spoils for a third day in succession.

Read on for your daily Tour de France bulletin.

Heading into the first sprint stage of this year’s Tour de France, most of the attention was focused on Jasper Philipsen and Mark Cavendish. For obvious reasons, no doubt.

Philipsen bossed the sprints last year, while Cavendish and ‘Project 35’ have gained understandable momentum in the English-speaking cycling media. In the end, however, neither rider featured in the sprint but what we got instead was one of the most memorable fast finishes in years.
