Stage 5 of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift proved to be a chaotic affair with Demi Vollering crashing and losing time in controversial circumstances, Kasia Niewiadoma taking the first yellow jersey of her career, and Kristen Faulkner becoming an outside favourite for the podium thanks to another sterling performance.

And Blanka Vas more than made up for missing out on a medal at the Olympics with a stage win in Amnéville. 

Today we look at the changing GC, Vollering’s situation and how far Faulkner could go in a race in which she’s claiming the GC isn’t a target.
