The young American is following his brother's path into European racing and is already making a name for himself at Visma-Lease a Bike Development

Kicking off a new series on my Substack, I’m interviewing junior and U23 riders from the world of cycling. This will become a regular feature over the next few weeks as we look to share the personalities and stories of riders as they dream of stepping into the WorldTour.
First up we have American rider, Colby Simmons. You probably already know his older brother, Quinn, who races for Lidl-Trek and Colby, 20, is hoping to follow his sibling into the top tier of cycling.
Currently racing at Team Visma | Lease a Bike Development, Colby recently finished second overall at the Alsace Tour and will form part of the USA team for the Tour de l’Avenir, which starts Sunday.
